Best of Blossie's 2008
Have you ever wanted to come to a Blossie's class but haven't found the time? With our exciting new "Best of Blossie's 2008" disc you can have access to past classes whenever you want at the click of a button.
Our Blossie's teachers put a lot of time and effort into preparing classes so you get maximum inspiration. We've collated the best scrapbooking layouts, cards and projects from our 2008 classes on one disc. With clear photos including close ups of details and hints and tips, you can view or print our ideas as much as you want.
With several new classes being offered each month, there's plenty of inspiration!
We are still taking pre-orders as there will only be a limited number available. The cost will be $22.00 and the discs will be available for pickup or posting by the end of January 2009. We hope you enjoy the very best of Blossie's classes from 2008.
Connect and Create With Blossie's
Over the coming months we are hoping to have online classes up and running. We're going to structure our online classes so you can download printable instructions and supply lists, communicate with the teacher to ask questions or contribute comments, share your creations and most importantly, complete the projects at your own pace, whenever YOU can find the time . . . and in your pajamas if you want!
We will share more information in next month's newsletter as well as on our blog.
Point, Shoot, Play
Annette and Donna thought they'd never be able to master Photoshop, but thanks to the girls from Point, Shoot, Play they now feel like Photoshop gurus. The classes are tailored to suit paper crafters, and are so easy to follow and the instructors speak in plain language. If digital scrapbooking isn't your thing and you don't want to put down your glue stick, you'll still massively benefit from being able to enhance your photos using Photoshop.
Point, Shoot, Play Photoshop classes are happening in the store as follows:
Basics 10 1- Tues 24th February 6.30pm-9.30pm
Blossie's Recipe
White Chocolate, Cranberry and Pistachio Hedgehog Slice
(Serves 10 or more)
Ingredients -
¾ cup (180ml) sweetened condensed milk
60g butter, chopped
180g white chocolate, chopped coarsely
150g plain sweet biscuits
½ cup (65g) dried cranberries
1/3 cup (45g) roasted unsalted pistachios
Method -
Grease an 8cm x 26cm bar pan. Line base with baking paper, extending paper 5cm over long sides.
Stir condensed milk and butter in small saucepan over low heat until smooth. Remove from heat; add chocolate, stir until smooth.
Break biscuits into small pieces; place in a large bowl with cranberries and nuts. Stir in chocolate mixture.
Spread mixture into pan, cover; refrigerate about 3 hours or overnight until firm. Cut into 12 slices

Storage Idea
Annette has come up with a great way to store her scraps! She's purchased a plastic tub, bit enough to fit 12" scraps in. The Cropper Hopper file dividers are perfect to fit inside the tub, one for each colour. Scraps are then simply slipped in behind the relevant divider! And best of all - she added wheels (an inexpensive pot plant stand) so it can be tucked under her desk, out of sight when it's not needed!
